Payroll Manager in London - Robert Half

Our client is an independent healthcare provider, offering a diverse spectrum of services, including home care, live in care, private care, residential and nursing care homes, day centres, supported living, extra care, prison healthcare and hospital logistics. Their headoffice is based in Bromley, London/Kent but they operate nationally accross the UK

They are looking for an up and coming Payroll Manager to join their growing team to lead and manage the payroll function.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the end-to-end payroll function across all payroll entities
• within the organization by overseeing payroll imports, exports, pay elements, payroll departments, reports, and system maintenance.
• Ensure all payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance withcompany policies, statutory legislation, and payroll deadlines.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and practical experience of Sage 50 Payroll, ensuring the payroll system is configured, maintained, and utilised effectively.
  
• Review payroll calculations before approval, ensuring gross wages, net wages, statutory payments, pension deductions, payroll reconciliations, and payroll
  variance reports have been thoroughly validated
• Oversee all statutory payroll submissions, including Full Payment Submissions (FPS), Employer Payment Summaries (EPS), PAYE payments, National Insurance submissions, P45s, P60s, P11Ds, year-end payroll processes, and any other
  statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead, supervise, mentor, and support multiple Payroll Officers, ensuring workloadsare appropriately allocated and payroll deadlines are achieved.
• Organise and chair regular payroll team meetings to discuss payroll performance, legislative updates, operational challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives
