£50,000 - £55,000 + benefits - Hybrid - London
If you're an experienced audit professional looking for a firm where your career is taken seriously, but you're not treated like a number, this could be a role worth exploring.
We're working with a well-established accountancy practice that has built its reputation around strong client relationships, technical expertise and, importantly, its people. The culture is collegiate, supportive and genuinely progressive, with a strong emphasis on professional development, inclusion and giving individuals the confidence to contribute their ideas.
This is an opportunity to join a sizeable audit team while retaining the feel of a people-focused business. You'll work with experienced managers and partners, gain exposure to a broad client base and have plenty of opportunity to take ownership of your work and progress your career.
The opportunityAs an Audit Senior, you'll take responsibility across the full audit lifecycle, from planning and risk assessment through to completion. You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients across sectors including property, technology, hospitality, retail, professional services, logistics and not-for-profit organisations.
You'll be trusted to use your technical knowledge, judgement and professional scepticism rather than simply following a process. For someone who enjoys understanding a business, challenging constructively and helping less experienced colleagues develop, there is plenty of scope to make an impact.
What you'll be doingYou'll ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified and have around three or more years' audit experience, preferably gained within a UK practice environment.
You should have strong working knowledge of ISAs and FRS 102, alongside a sound understanding of corporate tax and relevant legislation, including the Companies Act 2006.
Just as importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys working with people. The ability to communicate clearly, lead junior colleagues and build confidence within an audit team will be key.
You'll also bring:
Experience with audit and accounts production software such as CCH ProAudit, Digita or Alphatax would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
Why consider it?The firm has created a culture where people are encouraged to build long-term careers rather than simply move from one role to the next. There is a strong focus on training, collaboration and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The package includes:
The wider accountancy environment is particularly well suited to someone who wants exposure to varied clients while still having access to experienced professionals and supportive leadership.
If you're an ACA or ACCA qualified auditor considering your next move and want a role where technical development, progression and the people around you genuinely matter, this Audit Senior opportunity could be a strong fit.
