Job Description

Location: Lincoln's Inn Fields, London / Hybrid
Salary: £28,000 p.a.

About the role

The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) is the voice of plastic surgery in the UK. We promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, advancing education across all aspects of plastic surgery through a comprehensive programme of scientific meetings, conferences and training courses.

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Events Co-ordinator to join the team on a six-month fixed-term contract. Based in Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, you will play an important role in supporting the planning and delivery of our events programme.

Working closely with the Events Manager and wider Secretariat team, you will coordinate the administration and logistics behind our meetings, courses and conferences, ensuring delegates, speakers and stakeholders receive a professional and welcoming experience. From managing registrations and liaising with venues to providing on-site event support, you'll help deliver events that contribute to the education and development of the UK's plastic surgery community.

What you will be doing

•    Coordinating travel, accommodation and other arrangements for speakers.
•    Liaising with venues, suppliers and internal colleagues to ensure events run smoothly.
•    Preparing event materials, including delegate packs, signage and certificates.
•    Managing delegate registrations and providing on-site support at events, acting as a point of contact for delegates, speakers and suppliers.
•    Assisting with general Secretariat administration and working collaboratively across the team.

About you

Essential
•    Experience in a similar administrative or events coordination role.
•    Confident using Microsoft Office, ideally with experience of event management or CRM systems.
•    Excellent organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to your work.
•    A customer-focused mindset.
•    A practical approach to problem solving and the confidence to use your initiative.

Desirable
•    Experience supporting conferences, educational events or professional meetings.
•    Experience working within a membership organisation, charity, medical association or healthcare environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected medical association in an attractive central London location, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality events that support the continuous development of healthcare professionals. If you're organised, personable and enjoy working in a varied role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
