Interim Insights Consultant / Research Consultant

London | £400-£450 A Day Outside IR35 - 1 month Contact

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Insights Consultant or Research Consultant to step into a senior leadership cover role and make an immediate impact. Working with a growing insights team, you will provide strategic oversight, ensure the quality of client deliverables, and act as a trusted advisor across a portfolio of high-profile projects.

The Company

They are a specialist insights and analytics consultancy that helps clients translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. Their work focuses on delivering strategic research, social intelligence, and reporting projects that support marketing, communications, and business decision-making. With a strong client portfolio and an established insights function, they are seeking an experienced contractor to provide short-term leadership and continuity.

The Role and Deliverables

• Oversee the insights and reporting function, ensuring high standards across all client deliverables.
• Quality assure work produced by junior analysts and provide guidance where required.
• Review and sign off reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and insight quality.
• Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders and respond to reporting-related queries.
• Provide strategic consultancy across multiple client accounts, helping clients identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support ongoing social intelligence and competitor analysis projects while ensuring the smooth running of the team.

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong experience within insights, research, analytics, or social intelligence consulting environments.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, social listening methodologies, and digital insight generation.
• Hands-on experience using Sprinklr and Talkwalker to extract, analyse, and interpret data.
• Ability to transform complex datasets into clear, client-ready presentations and actionable recommendations.
• Proven capability in reviewing, quality assuring, and approving reporting deliverables.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to operate as a senior consultant and trusted advisor.
• Experience delivering insight-led projects that have informed business, marketing, or communications strategies.
• Financial Services or Insurance sector experience would be highly advantageous.
