Location: Whetstone
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum DOE

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team at The Vet Whetstone.

For more than 20 years, we've combined advanced clinical capabilities with a commitment to helping veterinary professionals learn, develop and grow. We're proud of the experienced team we've built and the opportunities we provide for our colleagues to continue developing their careers. You'll be joining a practice where you'll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise, work alongside experienced clinicians and continue developing your career.

This role is ideal for:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurses with a few years' experience who are looking to further develop their clinical skills

  • Student Veterinary Nurses who are looking to complete their training and progress within a specialist clinical environment

You'll have the opportunity to work with a varied and complex caseload, gaining valuable experience across advanced nursing techniques, diagnostics, inpatient care and surgical procedures. With a strong range of in-house facilities and experienced clinicians around you, this is a great environment to build your confidence and continue developing your nursing skills.

The Practice

The Vet Whetstone offers an impressive range of in-house facilities and advanced equipment, allowing the team to provide advanced diagnostics, treatment and inpatient care.

Facilities include:

  • Extensive in-house laboratory

  • Digital, diplomate-reviewed cytology with rapid turnaround times

  • Direct digital X-ray

  • High-quality ultrasound, including ultrasound-guided aspirates

  • Endoscopy, including biopsies and foreign body retrieval

  • CT scanner

  • Two dedicated surgical suites

  • Separate dental suite with dental X-ray facilities

  • Extensive soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical instrumentation

You'll be supported to develop your clinical knowledge and gain exposure to a broad range of cases, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, develop and progress their career in a clinically advanced environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse or Student Veterinary Nurse working towards qualification

  • Has a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care

  • Enjoys working within a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Is keen to continue developing their nursing skills and clinical knowledge

  • Enjoys working with complex and interesting cases

  • Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team

  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards of patient and client care

About Kin Vet Community

As part of Kin Vet Community, a small collective of like-minded community veterinary practices, we benefit from the support, shared expertise and collaborative approach that comes from working alongside teams who share our commitment to exceptional veterinary care.

Whilst every practice retains its own culture, leadership and way of working, being part of Kin Vet creates greater opportunities to learn from one another, invest in our people and facilities, and continue evolving the services we provide to pets and their owners.

If you're a qualified RVN or Student Veterinary Nurse looking for an opportunity to develop your skills, gain experience with an interesting caseload and be part of an experienced team, we'd love to hear from you.
