Head of Finance / Financial Controller in London - Arlington Resource Management

Head of Finance / Financial Controller - WFH / remote working / occasional travel to London - our client is a c£10m leading player in the Energy / Renewables / Sustainability sector, with ambitious plans to double its turnover in the next 3 - 5 years.

As part of this growth, it is seeking a Head of Finance / Financial Controller to lead the finance function and provide financial insight within the Senior Management Team to aid decision-making and achieve the company goals.

Reporting to the CEO and working very closely with the operational teams, this Head of Finance / Financial Controller role will involve:

• Manage and develop a small finance team of 3 - 4 staff
• Constant commercial input as a member of the Senior Management Team
• Contribute to and review monthly management accounts and analysis
• Manage the working capital and cashflow forecasting process
• Work closely with project managers to track project profitability and WIP.
• Provide financial input into commercial bids and tenders
• Enhance financial processes, where possible, using AI
• Oversee year end audits, CIS, VAT, payroll and statutory reporting

This Head of Finance / Financial Controller role will suit an accomplished qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA) with proven experience at this level, or someone ready to step up into a Number One finance role. Project accounting experience (eg construction or similar) is desirable.
