Personal Medical Assistant (Part-Time - 95 Hours a Month)
£20-£25 per hour, depending on experience

A well-established private medical practice is looking for an experienced Personal Medical Assistant to support a single physician with a small, high-profile patient list. This part-time role is built around a fixed in-office schedule, offering variety, autonomy and genuine involvement in patient care.

Key Details

  • Part-time, approx. 90-95 hours per month
  • Core in-office days, 8:00am (fixed start) to approx. 5:30pm, with a scheduled break
  • Additional flexible/remote hours on non-office days
  • Central London location, easily commutable
  • Salary: hourly or flat monthly rate, to be discussed depending on experience
  • Start date: flexible, ideally within the next couple of months

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing a busy daily and weekly patient diary, including bookings, reschedules and last-minute changes
  • Running a daily briefing to review recent patients and plan ahead
  • Preparing and sending personalised patient protocols, prescriptions and blood test requests
  • Digitising handwritten patient notes and files
  • Liaising with an overseas clinic location for one week each month
  • Light invoicing and administrative support
  • Handling patient calls professionally and warmly
  • General inbox and diary management

What We're Looking For

  • A medical or clinical administration background - private sector experience preferred
  • Confident, warm telephone manner; comfortable being a patient's first point of contact
  • Strong IT skills, comfortable managing digital file systems and scanning
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and able to work independently
  • Discreet and professional - this role involves sensitive patient information
  • Reliable and fully present during working hours in a focused, low-distraction environment
  • Able to commit to a fixed early start and a consistent part-time schedule
