Finance Manager in London - Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd

Fame Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established charity with UK and international operations, including subsidiaries in Israel, in the recruitment of a Finance Manager.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the finance function, supervising a small team while supporting the Finance Director across all aspects of financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a finance team of two.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple entities across the Charity Group.
• Oversee the day-to-day transactional finance function, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts across the Group.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns, payroll journals and other statutory submissions.
• Produce financial reports, analysis and commentary for the Finance Director.
• Ensure accurate accounting records are maintained using Xero.
• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, Companies House and Charity Commission requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Previous charity finance experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of charity accounting principles, including restricted funds.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring a small finance team.
• Essential experience using Xero.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
