A growing telecommunications business is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to progress their career, expand their technical skills, and gain exposure to an international finance environment.

Working within a collaborative finance team, the successful candidate will support month-end reporting, tax compliance, financial controls, and business operations across several European entities.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
• Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Manage intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
• Prepare VAT returns and maintain supporting schedules
• Liaise with external accountants and advisers across various jurisdictions
• Support the year-end audit process
• Provide wider finance support, including transactional accounting when required

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role with exposure to month-end processes
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
• Experience with Xero is advantageous

This position would suit someone who is eager to take the next step in their finance career and gain broader exposure than a typical assistant accountant role. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance leaders, develop management accounting experience, and gain valuable exposure to international operations.
