  • Review fair value reserves, prudent valuation adjustments and IFRS fair-value hierarchy classifications.

  • Assess and recommend approval of new trades, new product activity and Day 1 P&L recognition decisions.

  • Identify valuation uncertainty across liquid and illiquid products, including model limitations, data gaps, liquidity considerations and unobservable inputs.

  • Develop and enhance fair value and prudent valuation methodologies in line with internal policy, regulatory technical standards and market practice.

Candidate profile

  • Practical exposure to IPV, valuation reserves, fair value adjustments, prudent valuation, Day 1 P&L and/or IFRS 13 fair-value hierarchy requirements.

  • Able to understand pricing models, assess their limitations and form a credible independent view on valuation risk.

  • ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM, MSc in Finance/Economics or similar qualifications would be beneficial, though directly relevant experience will be highly valued.
