Single principal is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their welcoming and professional private household in St John's Wood, London.

The successful candidate will become part of a friendly, close-knit team, working alongside a wider household team including Housekeepers, a House Manager, Dog Nanny, Chef, Security and Drivers.

The residence is smart, modern and impeccably maintained, with high-end finishes, delicate materials and valuable artwork. Previous experience working within luxury private residences is essential, with candidates expected to have a strong understanding of the correct cleaning methods and products required to care for such interiors.

We are seeking a highly experienced, discreet and detail-oriented Housekeeper with a strong work ethic and proactive, hands-on approach. The successful candidate will take genuine pride in maintaining exceptional standards and will be happy to assist across the household as required.

• Daily cleaning and housekeeping to an exceptional standard

• Laundry and professional ironing

• General household upkeep and organisation

• Maintaining the presentation of the residence at all times

• Light food and beverage service

• Preparing refreshments and responding promptly and discreetly to the Principal's day-to-day requests

• Retrieving personal items and assisting with ad hoc household requirements

• Working collaboratively with the wider household team

The Principal travels regularly, providing a pleasant balance of busier and quieter periods. When the Principal is away, working hours are reduced to 8 hours per day.

The household has three much-loved dogs, so a genuine love of dogs is essential. Sunday duties include feeding the dogs and walking the two house dogs. Occasionally, when the Principal is travelling, the housekeeping team provides additional dog care, including overnight stays as part of a shared rota.

Basic food preparation skills are also required. At weekends, when the Chef is off duty, the Housekeepers are responsible for reheating and serving meals prepared in advance by the Chef.

• Sunday to Thursday

• 9-hour shifts

• Reduced to 8-hour shifts when the Principal is away

• Start times of either 7:00am or 10:30am

• No shifts before 7:00am or after 7:30pm

• Live-out preferred, although live-in accommodation will be considered for the right candidate
