Finance Business Partner in London - Altum Consulting

A major UK-based, globally-focussed foundation is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to provide due diligence support on funding applications, allowing the programme team to make key decisions on multi-millionm pound projects.

This is a six-month assignment, expected to begin in September and run until the end of March. The role will pay approximately £450 per day.

This business partnering role will work with partner organisations, reviewing financial information and highlighting risks to programme colleagues.

The Interim Senior Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

• Working with a team of business-partnering colleagues within commercial finance on ad hoc due diligence projects
• Supporting grant awards, ranging from £1 million to £20 million in value
• Contacting grantee organisations for relevant financial information
• Reviewing information and conducting due diligence
• Advising programme colleagues on financial risks and enabling them to make funding decisions

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant with strong due diligence experience, either in-house or from external audit work
• Have strong finance-business partnering skills
• Be highly confident working with large and detailed financial models
• Have strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate financial information into practical advice
• Be able to build credibility with senior and demanding stakeholders
• Bring a calm, steady and pragmatic approach
• Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and possess the ability to prioritise
• Be available to begin an interim assignment in mid-August or September
