Senior Management Accountant - Creative Industries
£55,000 – £65,000 p.a. - Central London | Hybrid working (2 days in the office)
Are you an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys getting underneath the numbers rather than simply producing them?
Would you like to work within an established, independently owned business operating across publishing, licensed products and international markets?
And are you confident enough to present your findings, challenge where appropriate and work directly with senior decision-makers?
We’re working with a highly established, independently owned business within the creative industry, based in Central London.
Operating internationally, the business works across a varied portfolio of licensed products, merchandise and publishing titles, with sales and distribution across the UK, US and other global markets.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller.
This is a broad and commercially interesting role where accuracy is important, but so too is the ability to understand what the numbers are telling you and communicate that clearly to senior management.
The role
You’ll take ownership of key areas of the monthly management accounting and reporting process, including:
Your experience
We’re looking for somebody who has already developed strong management accounting experience and is comfortable taking ownership of their work.
You may be qualified, part-qualified, studying or qualified by experience - the emphasis here is very much on capability rather than letters after your name.
You’ll ideally bring:
Previous experience within publishing, media, entertainment, licensed products or another IP-led business would be particularly interesting, especially where this has involved royalties, licensing, stock or profitability by product/title.
However, direct publishing experience is not essential.
This is an opportunity to join a long-established, successful and independently owned business operating within a genuinely interesting sector.
The finance team works closely with colleagues across creative, commercial, production and operational functions, meaning this is not a role where finance operates in isolation.
The business operates a hybrid working model, with typically 2 days based in its Central London office and the remainder working remotely.
For an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys variety, ownership and being close to the commercial side of a business, this offers something rather different from the standard month-end role.
