Junior Finance Assistant in London - Robert Half

Company

This is an rapidly-expanding marketing business based in central London. They plan corporate events, travel, and group logistics across London and the rest of the UK, hosting a series of unique event experiences.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a junior Finance Assistant to join their accounting department.

Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the junior Finance Assistant will work closely with them in maintain the financial records, including purchases, sales, payments and bank reconciliations. They will take on a number of key duties including:

• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
• Verifying that transactions are recorded correctly for the supplier's ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
• Process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and weekly supplier payment runs
• Enter data, maintain records and create reports in Sage
• Manage the filing of invoices and expenses, scanning, archiving and
• Assist with the financial reporting

Profile

The ideal profile for this Finance Assistant position, should have the following:

• 1-2 years of experience within a similar transactional finance capacity with good ownership of Accounts Payable
• Early stage AAT studier (or similar)
• Excellent communication skills, engaging and proactive
• Confident with using Excel (Pivot tables / VLOOKUPs)
• Experience with Sage would be advantageous

Salary & Benefits

£30,000 to £33,000 plus additional benefits:

• Hybrid working - 3 days in office
• 9-5:30pm
• 20 days holiday (1 day increases per year)

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
