Job Title: Finance Lead
Location: Farringdon! 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 18 months, Full Time (highly likely to go perm!)

Hours: 9:00-5:30pm

Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Finance Lead to oversee the financial operations of the organisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while supporting key business functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing day-to-day accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoicing, supplier bills, payment queries, and client payment portals.
• Managing weekly supplier payments and supporting the collection of outstanding customer balances.
• Completing bank, corporate card, and credit card reconciliations.
• Managing the month-end process to ensure all sales, costs, accruals, and expenses are accurately recorded.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly P&L reporting while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Producing weekly and monthly management reports covering sales, bookings, backlog, receivables, and payables.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and global commission reports and providing information to payroll.
• Supporting EU VAT reporting and liaising with external tax advisers on VAT queries and submissions.
• Working closely with external accountants on month-end reporting, year-end accounts, and the annual audit.
• Managing intercompany charges and ensuring appropriate costs are recharged between entities.
• Assisting with employee onboarding and payroll administration alongside HR and external payroll providers.
• Responding to finance, audit, and compliance requests from clients, HMRC, and the wider international business.
• Managing and supporting a member of the finance team, overseeing workload and priorities.
• Assisting with annual planning and providing financial information to support management and client meetings.

About You:
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised finance professional with a proven ability to manage both transactional finance and management reporting. Key qualifications include:

• Proficiency in Xero is a must, with strong Excel skills.
• Experience in month-end reporting and P&L preparation.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and external advisers.
• Confidence in meeting deadlines and adapting to new software quickly.
