Senior Paraplanner in Selby - CB3 Associates Ltd

The Company: A highly reputable, family-feel styled IFA business with offices across the country are currently recruiting an industry experienced Paraplanner to add to their expanding team in remote/home-working working capacity. This role/remit will suit a qualified, career Paraplanner who is looking for a flexible, home-based report-writing opportunity that allows them to work closely alongside Planners/clients etc on a dedicated basis.

• Head Office Location: York
• Working Setup: Remote/Home-based

Package: £45-50k base DOE + bonus and company benefits

• Bonus: Discretionary – Paid annually
• Holidays: 25-days + stats

The Role: You will have day to day responsibility for clients and will be expected to provide technical support for key areas of the financial planning process which include:

• Tax Planning: ISA and pension contributions & CGT planning
• Investment planning and retirement planning
• Estate planning

To achieve this, you will:

• Prepare and attend client meetings alongside the Financial Planner and produce meeting notes which accurately reflect the information gathered in order to fully document a client’s financial needs and objectives.
• Compile suitability reports
• Undertake support duties to the Financial Planner in order to effectively service the client in a fair and ethical manner.
• Maintain an ongoing relationship with the clients, keeping them informed, answering queries and arranging review meetings where appropriate.
• Effectively use research and planning systems and platforms such as FE Analytics, Selectapension, CashCalc, AJ Bell Investcentre, Aegon (ex Cofunds).
• Be responsible for ensuring that recommendations are fully implemented in a timely manner and to the right quality.

The Person: The successful candidate must come from a small, family-feel IFA/wealth management background and have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience within technical paraplanning. Essential qualifications and experience includes:

• Being QCF level 4 Diploma qualified
• Prior experience in a whole of market, IFA advice environment ideally supporting advisers on a dedicated 1 to 1 type basis
• Demonstrable knowledge of and proficiency in, FE Analytics, Selectapension, CashCalc, AJ Bell Investcentre, Aegon (ex Cofunds) or similar.
