Credit Research Analyst - Mason Blake in London - eFinancialCareers

A leading global asset management firm is seeking a Credit Research Analyst to join their Global Credit platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a global unconstrained credit strategy, conducting detailed analysis across the corporate credit spectrum and contributing directly to investment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct rigorous fundamental credit analysis on corporate issuers across a diverse range of sectors
2. Generate and present high-conviction investment recommendations to Portfolio Managers
3. Build and maintain financial models, prepare investment theses and draft credit notes
4. Interpret sector and issuer-level insights to inform investment decisions
5. Provide portfolio managers with timely updates on market liquidity, industry developments and regulatory changes that may affect issuer credit quality and pricing
6. Take an active role in the investment decision-making process and share your own perspectives in credit investment team meetings

Candidate Profile:

1. Relevant experience in corporate credit research, gained at a respected buy-side or sell-side firm
2. Strong understanding of different credit products and markets
3. Excellent academic credentials
4. Technical skills such as coding (Python, VBA or similar) are beneficial, though not essential
5. Excellent analytical skills and the capacity to process and interpret complex information quickly
6. High levels of energy, enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity with a proactive approach
7. Clarity and conviction in expressing informed opinions
8. Collaborative, client-oriented mindset
9. Ability to establish and sustain strong professional relationships
