Accounting Services Manager
£65,000-£75,000 + benefits
Hybrid working
I'm working with a Big 4 firm that is looking to appoint an Accounting Services Manager into its growing corporate accounting team.
This is a strong opportunity for a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant who enjoys technical accounting, client delivery and team management, but wants a broader and more commercial role than a traditional accounts position.
The team provides outsourced accounting and corporate accounting services to a prestigious client base of national and multinational businesses. The work is varied, technically interesting and includes statutory financial statements, management accounts, secondment support, cross-border reporting and advisory projects around statutory accounting processes.
The Role
As Accounting Services Manager, you will help deliver high-quality accounting services to a range of corporate clients, working as part of a technically strong, commercial and collaborative national team.
The role will involve managing client work, reviewing statutory accounts, supporting advisory projects and helping develop junior members of the team.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing the preparation and review of statutory financial statements
Supporting outsourced accounting assignments for corporate clients
Overseeing bookkeeping and periodic management accounts work
Managing local statutory accounts preparation for cross-border clients
Advising clients on statutory accounting compliance requirements
Supporting improvements to the statutory accounts production, audit and filing cycle
Working with specialists across the wider firm
Managing deadlines and maintaining high-quality client service
Coaching, supervising and developing junior team members
Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
What They're Looking For
The firm is keen to speak with qualified accountants who have strong technical accounting experience and enjoy working with corporate clients.
You will ideally have:
ACA or ACCA qualification, or international equivalent
Broad accounting or finance experience gained within practice
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
Some awareness of US GAAP
Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems
A professional, flexible and client-focused approach
Experience working in deadline-driven environments
Strong supervisory skills and the ability to coach junior staff
Why Apply?
This is a strong opportunity to join a Big 4 accounting services team, offering high-quality clients, strong technical training and clear long-term career development.
The role offers a varied mix of corporate accounting, outsourced finance work and advisory projects, with the chance to work alongside specialists across the wider firm.
The package includes:
£65,000-£75,000 + benefits
Hybrid working across office, home and client site
Private medical cover
24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP
Six volunteering days per year
Strong training, development and progression support
Wider flexible benefits package
This would suit an experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up, or an existing Manager looking for a broader accounting services role with better client variety, stronger support and a larger platform for progression.
