Bookkeeper in Fareham - Accountancy Expertise Ltd

Our client, an established independent firm of Accountants are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their expanding team in Fareham, Hampshire.

The role will involve dealing with the bookkeeping, preparing accounts and maintaining financial records.

Duties include:-

• Helping other members of the bookkeeping team
• Managing and completing VAT returns for around 60 clients, varying in size, including some which are quite involved
• Provide clients with training and support on the use of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Complete VAT returns competently and also review other staff members work
• Complete partial exemption calculations for VAT
• Make payments on behalf of clients, as requested.

You will ideally have at least 2 years UK practice experience and hold a professional bookkeeping qualification such as AAT or studying towards this.

A strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero and IRIS would also be an advantage.
