You will be part of a unique team responsible for delivering holistic stay-at-work and return-to-work support that helps our people maintain their physical, mental and social wellbeing. Day-to-day, your key area of responsibility will include sickness absence and health and wellness case management and supporting HR colleagues and People Leaders from triaging cases, supporting referrals through advising management on the implementation of workplace adjustments. You will also build effective working relationships with external providers, including Occupational Health, Neurodiversity and DSE suppliers, supporting regular service reviews, issue resolution and continuous improvement.

  • Bring your clinical expertise to lead the way as a subject matter expert, providing trusted advice and insight into the business. You'll use proactive analysis and reporting to identify trends, shape evidence-based clinical best practice, and develop focused strategies, policies, procedures and training across Wellness Advisory services, while supporting compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Evidence based clinical advice and triage of complex employee cases relating to absence and health & wellness/absence prevention to Case Handlers, ER, HR and People Leaders within agreed target times (SLAs and KPIs) and quality standards.
  • Collaboration with our non-clinical Wellness Advisory Team, which may involve planning, reviewing, coordinating and/or signposting and advising on support pathways, as well as workplace adjustments, to assist our people stay in, or return to work.
  • Advisory, support and coordination of referrals to external parties
  • Stakeholder management, including liaising and discussion of needs, with internal People Leaders and/or HR professionals.
  • Provide specialist support, advice and expertise in managing potential safeguarding escalations.
  • Review Occupational Health, neurodiversity and DSE reports and recommendations, providing internal advice to the business and Wellness Advisory colleagues on effective implementation.
  • Support the onboarding pre-placement medical process, liaising directly with our Occupational Health provider and consistently striving to improve both the process and employee experience.

Essential:

  • Demonstrable Occupational Health experience needed in a corporate occupational health and wellbeing setting
  • UK recognized qualification in Nursing or Physiotherapy
  • Active professional UK board registration - NMC and/or HCPC
  • Registered on part 3 of NMC Register (Occupational Health) or BSc or PgDip Occupational Health
  • Substantial OH knowledge including up to date knowledge of legislation, best practice principles and regulatory requirements
  • Competent in all aspects of sickness absence management, from clinical assessment and triage, through to post-assessment sickness absence case management
  • Strong understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and the secure handling of patient-level data, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity and professionalism needed when managing sensitive information

Desirable:

  • Training and experience in implementing workplace adjustments across a range of neurodivergent profiles
  • Expert knowledge of legislation and guidance on safeguarding, as well as experience of managing risk and the policies, procedures, and process maps for escalating risk
  • Experience of providing clinical leadership and advice on matters relating to quality and safety in their area of clinical practice
  • Case Management/ServiceNow software experience
