Customer Excellence Associate - An office based position combining pre and post order customer service, enhancing the customer experience and relationships, processing orders and maintaining high standards of quality administration processes.


Location: Office Based
Hours: 35.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Flexibility: Flexible start and finish times within core hours, with an early finish on Fridays


About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful global organisation that manufactures and sources a vast range of technical products and components for customers across the UK and international markets. Working from one of their UK Sales & Service Centres, you will play a key role in supporting customers, processing orders and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

The Role

As part of a collaborative customer service team, you will be responsible for managing customer orders, quotations and enquiries while ensuring all processes and quality standards are followed accurately.


Key Responsibilities

  • Processing customer quotations and orders accurately and efficiently
  • Managing a high volume of customer enquiries via telephone, email and online platforms
  • Providing updates on order status, deliveries and product availability
  • Creating and maintaining customer account information within internal systems
  • Processing web orders and customer requests
  • Preparing and issuing pro-forma invoices
  • Coordinating with internal departments to source products and obtain quotations
  • Supporting customers with delivery and shipping information
  • Processing customer returns, feedback cases, credits and re-invoicing requests
  • Obtaining proof of delivery documentation from couriers
  • Working closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate dispatch of orders
  • Preparing shipping and export documentation
  • Supporting field sales teams and international offices with quotations and customer enquiries
  • Maintaining compliance with company procedures, quality standards and international trade requirements


About You

We are looking for a customer-focused individual who combines strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail who is comfortable working within the engineering/technical market.


Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in office-based customer service, order processing or sales support
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience working with multiple systems and a CRM
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changing demands
  • A methodical and process-driven approach
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Experience within a technical, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or product-based environment would be highly advantageous
  • Experience using SAP Business One (SAP B1) and/or HubSpot would be a significant advantage
