We are delighted to be partnering with this established and growing organisation in recruiting for the newly created role of Assistant Accountant at their head office located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a varied role which would suit someone who has worked in a hands-on position within a small to medium-sized finance team.
- Purchase ledger, including processing and coding invoices, reconciliations and preparing payments
- Sales invoicing, including milestone billing
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT and CIS returns
- Payroll administration
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Supporting with management accounts preparation

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have strong purchase and sales ledger experience, combined with an inquisitive mindset and strong commercial awareness. Confident systems skills, combined with experience of reconciliations will be pivotal.

What you'll get in return
Starting salary circa £38000 - £42000 + benefits
Full-time permanent hours with potential flexibility
Located on the outskirts of Colchester with parking
