Credit Controller in Doncaster - Sharp Consultancy

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger and ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately while developing positive working relationships with customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Contacting customers by telephone and email regarding outstanding payments.
• Allocating incoming receipts and reconciling customer accounts.
• Resolving invoice and payment queries in a timely manner.
• Producing aged debt reports and identifying any areas requiring attention.
• Monitoring customer credit limits and reviewing account status.
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to resolve queries and support effective cash collection.
• Assisting with month-end reporting and other finance tasks as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable position.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A professional and approachable telephone manner.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle conversations with customers effectively.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• The ability to organise your workload and meet deadlines.
• A careful, organised approach with good attention to detail.
