Job Description

People Partner

Stoke-on-Trent
Primarily Site-Based

This People Partner role is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, ambitious UK
business where you'll have the autonomy, visibility and support to genuinely
influence the people agenda.

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with a successful logistics
organisation that has experienced substantial growth in recent years and is
across multiple UK locations. As the business continues to evolve, they're
looking to appoint a People Partner to become a key member of the Stoke
leadership team and support the next phase of growth.

Reporting into an experienced and highly respected People Director, you'll be
responsible for partnering with a site of around 120 employees whilst also
supporting wider people initiatives across the business.

Why this role stands out

Whilst strong Employee Relations capability is essential, this role offers much
more than day-to-day HR support.

You'll partner closely with operational leaders across warehousing, transport
and support functions, providing commercially focused HR support in a fast-paced
environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

* Drive Learning & Development initiatives across the business

* Develop onboarding frameworks and career pathways

* Support succession planning and capability building

* Utilise people data and insights to influence decision making

* Lead and contribute to HR and business improvement projects

* Coach and develop managers across operational teams

* Support organisational change and business transformation initiatives

* Become a trusted advisor and sounding board to senior stakeholders

This is a role for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, solving
problems and taking ownership rather than simply responding to issues as they
arise.

About you

We're looking for a well-rounded HR professional who combines strong operational
HR capability with the desire to make a broader organisational impact.

You'll ideally bring:

* Experience in a HR Business Partner, People Partner or HR Manager role

* Strong Employee Relations expertise and confidence operating independently

* Experience coaching and influencing managers

* Learning & Development, talent or organisational development experience

* Confidence using HR systems, reporting tools and people data

* A proactive, solutions-focused approach

* The credibility and gravitas to build relationships across all levels of the
business

* CIPD Level 5 or above

The culture

The business has grown rapidly and is moving from a more entrepreneurial,
founder-led environment towards a more mature and professionalised organisation.
As a result, this role would suit someone who enjoys change, can balance
operational delivery with longer-term thinking and wants to play a visible role
in shaping how a growing business evolves.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with energy, curiosity and a genuine
desire to make a difference.

Package

* Circa £50,000 salary

* Benefits package

* Primarily site-based in Stoke-on-Trent

* Opportunity to work closely with a highly respected People Director

* Genuine scope to influence strategy, projects and organisational development

For HR professionals who enjoy ownership, variety and the opportunity to help
shape a growing business, this represents an excellent next step.
