Architectural Technologist
Location: Northampton
Salary: £35-40,000

An established architectural practice in the Northampton is seeking a talented Architectural Technologist to join its expanding team. With more than 50 years of experience delivering projects across both the public and private sectors, the practice has built a strong reputation for its work within logistics, education, hospitality, civic, leisure, industrial, and residential developments. Working on projects ranging from small-scale schemes through to major multi-million-pound developments, the team offers a collaborative environment with a strong focus on technical excellence and BIM-led delivery.

The Role:

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction information using Revit
  • Lead the technical design and coordination of projects across a variety of sectors
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects meet building regulations, planning requirements, and industry standards
  • Support project delivery through all RIBA work stages, from early design through to completion
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve design and construction challenges as projects progress

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architectural Technology or a related subject
  • Proven experience working within a UK architectural practice
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction techniques, and technical detailing
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a collaborative team
  • CIAT accreditation, or an interest in working towards chartered status, would be beneficial
