Fire Extinguisher Engineer Role Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire safety company.

This is predominantly a fire extinguisher servicing role, with the opportunity to carry out basic testing and servicing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems where required. You'll work across a varied commercial customer base, delivering a high standard of service while building strong client relationships.

Fire Extinguisher Engineer Role & Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and inspect portable fire extinguishers in accordance with current British Standards.
  • Carry out basic testing and servicing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems where required.
  • Complete all relevant service documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify defects and recommend remedial works where appropriate.
  • Provide excellent customer service whilst representing the company on client sites.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.

Fire Extinguisher Engineer Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
  • Experience testing or servicing emergency lighting and/or fire alarm systems would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of current fire safety standards and industry best practices.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Able to successfully complete a DBS check
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently
  • BAFE
