Pareto FM is looking for a proactive and adaptable Flexible Area Supervisor to support the delivery of soft services across a diverse portfolio of client sites. This role would also suit a senior cleaner , or a team leader

This is a varied, hands-on role providing operational support to Regional and Account Managers, helping to ensure service excellence, compliance, and continuity across multiple contracts. You'll work across a range of environments, providing cover, supporting teams, conducting audits, and helping maintain the high standards our clients expect.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a variety of prestigious sites, including Historic England, Dematic, XCT, and other unique locations set within some beautiful surroundings.

The Role

As a Flexible Area Supervisor, you'll provide support across multiple sites, stepping in where needed to ensure services continue to run smoothly. You'll work closely with site teams, managers, and clients, helping to maintain operational standards, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong soft services background who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working with different teams and environments.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing operational cover for holidays, sickness, and absence across multiple client sites

  • Supporting Regional and Account Managers with day-to-day contract delivery

  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure standards are maintained

  • Ensuring teams have the required equipment, uniforms, and consumables

  • Identifying service delivery issues and supporting corrective actions

  • Carrying out monthly audits and providing feedback to site teams

  • Supporting the maintenance of site documentation, including Site Bibles

  • Assisting with updates to RAMS, SSOW, COSHH, and compliance records

  • Promoting Health & Safety best practices across all sites

  • Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and supporting training activities

  • Reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses in line with company procedures

  • Supporting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) coordination where required

  • Monitoring SmartTask usage and supporting accurate timekeeping

  • Building positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the region

What We're Looking ForEssential
  • Previous supervisory experience across multiple sites

  • Experience within cleaning, soft services, or facilities management

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable
  • Experience using cleaning machinery such as scrubber dryers, buffers, and i-mops

  • Facilities Management or Cleaning-related qualification

  • IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification

  • Relevant NVQ qualification
