We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a busy finance team. Managing a team of 4 AP professionals, you will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments, strong supplier relationships, and continuous process improvement.
Job Spec:
- Manage, develop and motivate a small Accounts Payable team.
- Provide coaching, training and performance management
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, expenses and payment runs
- Ensure all payments are made
- Monitor aged creditor balances and ensure outstanding items are investigated and resolved.
- Maintain strong financial controls
- Maintain bank reconciliations and post journals for cash and loan movements.
- Raise occasional manual invoices to third parties and intercompany partners.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardise accounts payable processes.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy and automation.
- Work closely with Procurement, Operations and other Finance teams to improve end-to-end processes.
- Support the implementation of new systems, tools and best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure service delivery and process effectiveness.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with internal and external audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
- Ensure adherence to VAT requirements and relevant accounting standards.
- Maintain appropriate segregation of duties and control procedures.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
