Job Description

Role: Production Operative

Location: Henfield

Hours: Monday - Friday

Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Late Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Pay: £13.50 per hour (Day Shift) or £18.60 per hour (Late Shift)


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke timber doors and timber products.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role working within a fast-paced production environment, helping to produce high-quality timber doors, frames and components while maintaining exceptional quality, productivity and health & safety standards.

  • Previous experience using hand tools within a manufacturing environment
  • Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
  • Experience working to quality standards and production targets
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Numerate with the ability to interpret measurements and diagrams
  • Reliable, organised and proactive approach


Desirable:

  • Experience in woodworking, carpentry or timber manufacturing
  • Experience operating CNC machinery or production equipment
  • Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment


The Role

  • Operate production machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Assemble and finish high-quality timber doors and related products
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules and operating procedures
  • Maintain high quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
  • Support the team in achieving daily production targets
  • Keep work areas clean, safe and organised
  • Take ownership of your work area, ensuring productivity and accuracy
  • Report quality concerns, maintenance issues and improvement opportunities
  • Support other departments when required
  • Work safely at all times, following company health and safety procedures
  • Assist with additional production projects as required
