Permanent - Site Manager in Harrogate - Randstad Education

• Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)

• Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum

• Start Date: ASAP

• Shift Patterns: Variable between early opening and late closing shifts (the school actively avoids split shifts wherever possible)

• Proven experience in building maintenance, health and safety compliance, and managing external contractors.

• Strong practical skills to oversee routine maintenance, minor repairs, and compliance checks (such as fire alarms and legionella monitoring).

• The ability to think on your feet, react quickly to site emergencies, and manage competing priorities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with school leadership, teaching staff, students, and visitors.

• Taking responsibility for the overall security, cleanliness, and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.

• Managing the opening and closing routines of the site, ensuring the campus is safe and secure for students, including the older sixth form cohorts.

• Carrying out regular health and safety checks, maintaining accurate compliance records, and reporting any defects.

• Overseeing cleaning teams or external contractors to ensure all maintenance work is completed to a high standard, within budget, and in line with safeguarding protocols.

• You must possess at least 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (or equivalent), which must include both Mathematics and English.

• A current Enhanced DBS check covering both children and adults is mandatory due to the presence of sixth form students aged 18 and 19, or willingness to complete one through Randstad

• Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
