Join a fast-paced, multi-site entertainment business as an Assistant Accountant, taking ownership of weekly trading, reconciliations, and reporting while partnering closely with venue managers to drive performance. This is a commercially focused role where you'll go beyond processing to provide insights on revenue, costs, and operational efficiencies across multiple venues.

Description

  • Assist with preparing financial statements and management accounts.
  • Support the team with reconciliations, including bank and supplier accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • Strong grounding in finance with experience in reconciliations and revenue reporting
  • Confident working across purchase ledger, credit control, and payroll support
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivots, lookups, handling large datasets)
  • Commercially minded with the ability to spot trends, inefficiencies, and variances
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience in a multi-site, hospitality, or operational business is highly desirable but not required
