Job Title: Team Leader – Production & Packing


Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Chipping Norton

Shift: AM/Nights Rotating

Salary: Up to £35,000pa – dependent on experience


The Opportunity


A well-established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a Team Leader – Production & Packing to join its operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in fast-paced production environments to play a key role in driving operational performance, quality, and team engagement across shift operations.

The business operates within a quality-focused manufacturing environment and is looking for someone who can motivate teams, maintain standards, and ensure production runs efficiently and safely.


The Role


As Team Leader, you will oversee day-to-day production and packing activities, ensuring production lines continue running efficiently while maintaining high standards across quality, food safety, and health & safety.

Working closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams, you will support performance targets, minimise downtime, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production area.

This role operates on a rotating shift basis, alternating weekly between early and night shifts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead, motivate, and support production and packing teams across shift
  • Ensure production lines operate efficiently, minimising downtime and disruption
  • Monitor and report on KPIs including output, quality, and performance
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and respond quickly to challenges on the shop floor
  • Maintain GMP and food safety standards across all activities
  • Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture
  • Support employee training, onboarding, and development
  • Ensure accurate completion of production records and reporting
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site


About You


  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar production leadership role
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environments
  • Strong understanding of GMP and operational standards
  • Proven ability to keep production lines running effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Proactive and hands-on with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to think quickly and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong communicator and team player
  • Flexible and comfortable working rotating shifts
