Are you an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key part in delivering complex ground investigation schemes?

A well-established consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Geologist to support a strong pipeline of infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you'll be involved in both site and office-based work, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality ground investigation and interpretation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and managing ground investigations
• Supervising site works (drilling, trial pits, logging, sampling)
• Soil and rock logging to current standards
• Producing factual and interpretative reports
• Developing geotechnical models and providing design recommendations
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and client relationships
• Mentoring junior engineers and geologists

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related field
• Typically 5+ years' experience in ground investigation / geotechnical consultancy
• Strong logging and report writing experience
• Must live within a commutable distance from London office
• Experience managing site works and subcontractors
• Good understanding of UK standards and guidance
• Working towards (or achieved) Chartership (e.g. CGeol, ICE)
• Full UK driving licence
