Robert Half Talent solutions are seeking and Assistant Management Accountant for a Llanelli based organisation. Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Management Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management accounting process, ensuring financial accuracy and providing the insights needed to drive our manufacturing operations forward. You will play a key role in modernising our reporting by building robust daily and weekly systems to support real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the production of full Monthly Management Accounts (MA), including P&L analysis and variance reporting.
  • Balance Sheet Integrity: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations and maintain oversight of accruals and prepayments.
  • Cash Management: Manage cashflow forecasting to ensure the business meets its operational needs and investment goals.
  • Manufacturing Oversight: Conduct detailed stock reconciliations and valuations, working closely with the production and warehouse teams to manage inventory accuracy.
  • Planning & Strategy: Drive the annual budgeting process and provide rolling forecasts that reflect current market and production trends.
  • Transactional Oversight: Supervise or directly manage Debtors (AR) and Creditors (AP), ensuring healthy working capital.
  • Banking & Compliance: Oversee banking operations and manage the payroll process accurately and on time.
  • Systems & Systems Innovation: Navigate and consolidate data from multiple reporting systems. A major focus of this role will be designing and implementing new daily and weekly reporting frameworks to improve business agility.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is highly preferred (understanding of Cost of Goods Sold, WIP, and stock is essential).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work across various ERP/reporting software.
  • Mindset: A "builder" mentality-you enjoy taking messy data and turning it into clean, automated reports.
  • Qualification: Part-qualified or Finalist (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE with relevant manufacturing experience.
