FLT/Warehouse Operative in West Byfleet - Pertemps Heathrow

Role: Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance
Hours: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Contract: Temporary / Part-time (Ongoing)
Hourly Rate: £13.90 per hour
Location: West Byfleet

Our client, a cleaning product supplier, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to support their day-to-day operations across both the warehouse and office functions.

Main Responsibilities:
• Using internal systems to book parcel and pallet couriers
• Ensuring the warehouse and yard are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Dispatching goods within required timeframes
• Carrying out quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods
• Wrapping and strapping pallets ready for dispatch
• Booking in delivered purchase orders accurately
• Putting away delivered goods into the correct locations
• Unloading deliveries and ensuring all delivery paperwork is processed correctly
• Communicating with customers via phone and email
Requirements:
• Previous warehouse experience
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Experience using a hand pallet truck
• Computer literate
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with lifting and carrying
• Experience working within a chemical environment or a strong understanding of health & safety procedures (desirable)
