Commercial Manager

Bristol (Hybrid working)
£45,000 - £55,000
Full-time | Permanent

A growing technology-focused Engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support high-value programmes and drive commercial success. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with Defence, Aerospace or Public Sector experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle: bids, negotiation, award, delivery, variations and close-out
  • Support pricing models, cost build-ups and commercial proposals
  • Oversee change control, claims, disputes and commercial risks
  • Work with multiple contract types including Firm Price, Cost Plus / Cost Reimbursable and Framework Agreements
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, finance, legal and commercial teams
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Defence, Aerospace or Public Sector
  • Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing and contract management
  • Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023, SSCR, DEFCONs and DEFSTANs
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities
  • SC clearance desirable (or willingness to obtain)
  • MCIPS and export control awareness (ITAR/EAR) advantageous but not essential
