Assistant Accountant in Newcastle - KCR Solutions

KCR Solutions are delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join an established and growing outsourced finance team in Newcastle. Working with a wide range of clients across various industries, this role offers excellent exposure to all areas of finance within a supportive and professional environment.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will support a portfolio of clients, ensuring their finance operations run smoothly. You will take responsibility for preparing key financial reports, supporting day-to-day finance activity, and helping supervise a small team delivering essential transactional processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Complete VAT returns for a range of clients
• Identify potential improvements or opportunities and communicate these to senior colleagues
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with sales and purchase ledger processing
• Accurate invoice posting
• Timely payments to suppliers and creditors
• Monitor quality, accuracy and timelines of team output
• Act as a key contact for your clients, providing regular updates and ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Help resolve finance and systems issues to ensure seamless service delivery

Our client is looking for an individual who is part- or fully-qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, and confident in managing their own workload while delivering a high standard of service to clients.
