Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our senior school team at a well-established private school in Blackburn. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide meaningful, one-to-one support to a student within the senior school (year group to be confirmed).

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £16,254.82 per annum

The Role:
As an LSA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support a student's academic progress, wellbeing, and engagement in school life. This role involves providing tailored 1:1 assistance, helping to adapt learning materials, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student in the senior school
• Assist in the delivery and adaptation of lessons to meet individual needs
• Support the student's emotional, social, and academic development
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents where appropriate
• Help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
