Hours: Day Shift (with the possibility of moving to shift work)

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Milling & Turning Operator to join an established precision engineering manufacturer in East Lancashire

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, starting on a day shift, with the potential to move onto rotating or fixed shift work in the future.

This role would suit a reliable, hands-on machinist with experience in setting and operating CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment.

• Set and operate CNC milling and turning machines
• Load and edit programs where required (training provided if needed)
• Work from engineering drawings and job cards
• Carry out quality checks using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges)
• Maintain machine tooling and ensure correct offsets are applied
• Complete jobs to required tolerances and production times
• Follow all health & safety and quality procedures
• Keep the work area clean and organised
• Support continuous improvement within the machining department

• Proven experience as a CNC Milling and/or Turning Operator
• Experience setting and operating CNC machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Familiar with quality inspection and measuring tools
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Knowledge of common CNC controls (such as FANUC, MAZAK, Heidenhain or similar) - preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic

• Initial shift: Day shift
• Future flexibility: Willingness to move to shift work if required
• Contract: Temporary to permanent for the right candidate
• Overtime: May be available depending on workload
