Accounts Assistant

Pinpoint Resourcing are working with a fantastic financial services company based in York who are actively seeking a dynamic Accounts Assistant to work alongside senior finance professionals.

Duties:

• Contribute to financial planning activities by preparing data, supporting analysis, and monitoring business performance.
• Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end processes, maintaining robust financial controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records through journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work closely with HR and an outsourced payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
• Support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Take ownership of core payroll activities
• Liaise with auditors and assist with compliance requirements.
• Provide reliable support across transactional finance processes and wider reconciliations.
• Act as a professional and approachable contact for employee payroll queries, handling matters with discretion.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to a finance apprentice.

Skills/Experience:

• Payroll/Accounting experience
• AAT preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach

Salary: £27000-£30000 D.O.E
