Primary School Caretaker / Site manager

We are seeking a reliable, practical and friendly Caretaker to join our happy and welcoming primary school team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. this is a temporary role from 23rd Feb to 27th March 2026. Hours can be negotiated.

Key responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day site maintenance and minor repairs

• Opening and closing the school premises

• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed

• Managing cleaning, waste and basic grounds maintenance

• Liaising with contractors and reporting issues as needed

We are looking for someone who:

• Is practical, proactive and dependable

• Takes pride in maintaining buildings and outdoor spaces

• Can work independently and manage their time effectively

• Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a school environment

Previous caretaking or maintenance experience is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
