General Legal Counsel / Lawyer in London - Randstad Perm Professionals

We're partnering with a Bank in their search for an UK Legal VP to support their team and contribute to their financial strategy. This is a 3 months temporary role offering hybrid working and based in London. This role is paying up to £550- 600 per Day Umbrella for the right candidate.

The Role Join the IS UKMEA Legal Team as a lead advisor supporting a high-growth business. You will manage the legal life cycle of complex financial services-from drafting custody and outsourcing agreements to navigating global regulatory shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate & Draft: Lead on high-value service contracts (Fund Accounting, Analytics, Middle Office) for top-tier asset managers and insurance clients.

• Strategy: Advise on new product launches, jurisdictional expansions, and strategic M&A/Heads of Terms.

• Partner: Act as a key liaison for senior stakeholders in Risk, Compliance, and Business Development.

• Manage: Oversee external counsel and collaborate with global legal counterparts.

What You Bring

• 8+ years PQE with a City law firm or major in-house background.

• Expertise in financial services, commercial outsourcing, or M&A.

• Mindset: A "can-do," solution-oriented approach with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for executive stakeholders.
