This is a front-office aligned credit role with a strong commercial real estate (CRE) focus, supporting corporate and institutional clients across the UK and Europe.

We are working with a leading international bank to appoint a Manager - Credit within its London Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) team. This is a front-office aligned credit role with a strong commercial real estate (CRE) focus, supporting corporate and institutional clients across the UK and Europe.

The Manager - Credit will own the end-to-end credit process for an allocated portfolio, from initial assessment and structuring through to approval, ongoing monitoring and periodic review. The role partners closely with Relationship Managers, providing independent credit insight, challenge and high-quality analysis, while helping to safeguard the bank's risk appetite and standards.

• Drive the full credit process on a "cradle to grave" basis for allocated corporate, institutional and CRE exposures.

• Assess the viability of new lending proposals, providing well-argued recommendations and challenge where appropriate.

• Attend client meetings and internal discussions to deepen understanding of counterparties, structures and transactions.

• Prepare clear, concise and well-structured credit applications and annual/interim reviews, including financial analysis, business rationale, structure, security and risk mitigants.

• Solid experience in corporate or institutional credit within a bank or specialist lender, ideally with exposure to commercial real estate lending.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, cash flows and key credit metrics, and to form clear, well-reasoned credit opinions.

• Comfortable operating with credit rating and risk systems; experience with established bank credit models and CRE frameworks is advantageous.
