Senior Service Charge Accountant in London - PMR

The Opportunity

A well-established independent residential managing agent is looking for a senior service charge accountant to take a lead role within its finance function.

This is a senior position with real influence, combining technical service charge expertise with client interaction and process improvement. You will play a key part in strengthening financial controls, supporting a recently implemented property management system, and acting as a trusted adviser to internal teams and clients.

Hybrid working after probation.

The Role

You will take ownership of a complex residential portfolio, ensuring service charge accounts are prepared accurately and in line with TECH03/11 and RICS guidance.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing annual service charge accounts

• Managing and reconciling client accounts

• Supporting budget preparation and financial reporting

• Acting as an internal expert on QUBE, improving data integrity and reporting

• Liaising with auditors and ensuring accounts are audit-ready

• Supporting arrears management and strengthening financial controls

• Advising Property Managers and clients on financial matters

This role suits someone who can operate independently while contributing to wider process improvements across the department.

The Person

You will have:

• 5+ years' service charge accounting experience within residential block management

• Strong knowledge of TECH03/11 and RICS requirements

• Advanced experience using QUBE

• A professional accounting qualification, part-qualified status, or equivalent experience

• The confidence to manage complex portfolios and communicate clearly with clients
