Data Product Manager

Location: London - 2-3 days per week onsite
Contract: Initial 3 months
IR35: Outside
Rate: £400-490 per day
Start: Mid-March

Overview

This contract opportunity has arisen due to a current contractor taking a sabbatical. The team are looking for someone who can step in quickly, bring structure, and take ownership of key data products across the advertising and audience space.

This role requires a confident Data Product Manager who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, aligning senior stakeholders, and driving clarity across multiple workstreams.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Data Product, you will be responsible for leading core advertising and audience-focused data products.

You will work across commercial, finance and technology teams to:

  • Own and evolve advertising and audience data products

  • Support audience segmentation and campaign targeting initiatives

  • Partner with data teams to deliver reporting suites and product enhancements

  • Prioritise roadmap initiatives using structured frameworks (e.g. RICE)

  • Filter and manage high volumes of ad-hoc requests

  • Bring organisation and direction to multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Lead sprint ceremonies, planning and reviews within a Scrum environment

  • Align stakeholders across commercial, DAX product, finance and tech teams

  • Maintain and improve existing products while enabling new launches

You will oversee a squad of analysts and data scientists, ensuring products are delivered end-to-end with clarity and commercial focus.

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the engagement, the successful contractor will have:

  • Brought clarity and prioritisation to the product roadmap

  • Stabilised and maintained existing advertising data products through organisational change

  • Delivered improvements to reporting and audience-focused data capabilities

  • Established stronger structure across planning and delivery processes

  • Built credibility across commercial and technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong Data Product Management experience

  • Background within media or advertising environments

  • Proven experience owning data products end-to-end - Audience focussed

  • Experience working within Agile / Scrum environments

  • Strong stakeholder management across commercial and technical teams

  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands

  • Strong understanding of data platforms and KPIs
