Interim Financial Accountant in Leeds - Sharp Consultancy

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team on a long term interim basis, starting as soon as possible.

Fully qualified, you will be a seasoned interim professional who is confident stepping into new environments, quickly gaining traction, and delivering value from day one.

Working as a senior member of the finance team, you will oversee key financial accounting activities and report directly to both the Financial Controller and CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain weekly site and consolidated cash flow forecasts, working closely with the FC and CFO.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to the business.
• Oversee the daily management of HIF accounts.
• Prepare and post month end journals.
• Complete quarterly VAT returns.
• Manage monthly Intrastat submissions.
• Handle national statistics reporting requirements.
• Prepare year end statutory accounts.
• Support ad hoc reporting needs.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members.
• Build strong working relationships across all departments.
• This is a long term interim position, expected to run for approximately 12 months on a fixed term contract.
