A well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy is continuing to grow its MEP division and is now seeking an ambitious Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. Your new role
You will play a key role within an experienced MEP team, delivering electrical building services design across a variety of projects including education, commercial, residential, blue-light, and public sector schemes. Working through all RIBA stages, you'll produce detailed technical designs, calculations, and reports, while collaborating closely with internal teams, architects, and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:

• Developing electrical designs (lighting, power, containment, LV distribution, fire alarms, etc.)
• Producing calculations, schematics, drawings, and technical documents
• Supporting senior engineers throughout project delivery
• Attending design meetings and contributing to coordinated MEP solutions
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Supporting BIM/Revit-based design workflows

What you'll need to succeed

• 2-5 years' experience in electrical building services design
• Strong knowledge of BS7671, CIBSE guidelines, and relevant regulations
• Experience with design software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux
• Ability to work across multiple project sectors
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
• Progression toward IEng/CEng is a strong advantage
