Senior IFA Administrator
Location: Central Manchester (Office-based)
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior IFA Administrator to join a well-established and highly regarded financial planning firm based in Central Manchester.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, providing senior-level administrative support within a busy pensions and investments-focused advice business. The Role
The Senior IFA Administrator will play a key role within the Case Evaluation function, ensuring a smooth and efficient client journey from initial enquiry through to advice. You will take ownership of core processes, maintain high service standards, and act as a knowledgeable point of support for advisers, paraplanners, and colleagues.
This is a fully office-based role, located within easy reach of Ancoats and Manchester Piccadilly.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and understanding pension and plan information from multiple providers
- Liaising with pension providers to request and chase missing data
- Ensuring all required criteria is met prior to cases progressing to advice
- Maintaining accurate and compliant records throughout the client journey
- Supporting advisers and paraplanners with the preparation of advice and suitability reports
- Liaising with clients, providers, and third parties to resolve queries efficiently
- Handling inbound client enquiries where required
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and sharing best practice within the administration team
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience in an IFA administration or wealth management support role (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of pensions, investments, and financial services processes
- Experience using adviser back-office systems such as Intelligent Office, Xplan, or similar
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, professional, and team-focused approach
