Accounts Manager in Wakefield - IPS Group

A Wakefield based consultancy business are looking to appoint an experienced accounts manager to oversee the accounts function for their owner managed SME.  

The accounts manager will be a hands-on role overseeing all day to day finance duties, interacting with operations, and act as point of contact for the MD on all finance related matters.  

Duties will include:

• Full ownership of the finance function for an owner managed SME
• Monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
• Nominal ledger control, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Sales and purchase ledger management including payments and credit control
• Bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting
• VAT returns and HMRC liaison
• Payroll processing or oversight
• Budgeting, variance analysis and ad hoc reporting to the owner

About you:

• Broad exposure to transactional finance and management accounting within an SME business
• QBE or AAT Qualified

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
