Architectural Technician Commercial Experience in Manchester - Red King Resourcing

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technician with strong experience in the commercial sector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge, exceptional detailing skills, and proven experience delivering commercial projects from concept through construction.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal design teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, technical packages, and construction documentation for commercial developments.

• Develop and coordinate planning, tender, and construction-stage drawings.

• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, codes, and commercial standards.

• Liaise with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants to coordinate technical information.

• Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.

• Produce technical detailing for complex commercial elements including façades, core layouts, retail fit-outs, and office spaces.

• Assist in project management tasks including timelines, documentation control, and RFI responses.

• Support value engineering exercises while maintaining design integrity.

• Review contractor drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent.

• Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or related field.

• 5+ years' experience working on commercial projects (e.g., office buildings, retail developments, mixed-use schemes, hospitality).

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.

• Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction detailing, and materials.

• Experience preparing technical drawing packages for planning and construction stages.

• Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and sequencing.
